"The peculiar grace of a Shaker chair is due to the fact that it was made by someone capable of
believing that an angel might come and sit on it." -Edward Andrews
Solid wood, mortise and tenon, dovetails, simple design, attention to detail, and passion are what I use to build my furniture. I strive to build furniture that can be passed down through generations, or perhaps maybe someday a hundred years from now might be bought at a flea market by a person with a discerning eye. My creations are for those who appreciate functional works of art. The furniture satisfies your day to day needs yet upholds quality from generation to generation. Each piece is built with a dedication to perfection, a hard work ethic, and superior technique. Drawing inspiration from the Shakers, my pieces possess a beautiful simplicity, allowing them to naturally blend with a range of interior styles and tastes.
As a craftsmen who operates a small business, the fine woodworking that I do is what is most important to me. Carrying the torch by keeping traditional crafts alive and building beautiful things with subtle art is why I do what I do. And I hope that the people who pay for my work have their lives enriched by it.
